I love my beretta CQC platform, wasn't anywhere near as expensive as i thought it would be at a mere $50.
Just start liking normal service pistols instead of cool movie props lol

Well....it's not that quick to draw from a regular cloth holster.
And it shouldn't take more than one hand.

I used to do just fine velcroing my pistol into a M4 double mag pouch on my vest. Convenient up front placement and the wide flap fully covered the rear of the gun and exposed hammer keeping crap out. The heavy velcro flap secured the pistol just fine. Drawing the pistol was fast enough (as fast as a mag extraction) and I was happy having only 6 mags capacity (8 minus 2) on the vest.

It couldn't be too goofy a trick as I've seen some pics of dusty operators with a pistol tucked into a magazine pouch in a similar style.

Now I've got a modified Serpa which is really fast, but I sometimes miss how well covered my gun was with the M4 pouch trick. Crawling around in dirt can allow dirt into the hammer area. About the only thing better (besides the fast draw) is I worked out a lanyard which strips the cover from my RDS when I draw my pistol which wouldn't be so easy to implement with a mag pouch.

In any case, the faster holster has definite cool appeal, but from a practical standpoint it's not all that much better than securing my pistol in a mag pouch.

I did that too before I had my SERPA. Worked not too bad.
