aimpoints before eotech's just like in the real world.
Best aimpoint rep's are G and P or if you can find em. Guarder. I have a gaurder and it's the best out there aside from buying an actual Aimpoint, which I do encourage. Even has the wires instead of the rubber shit. Kos, if your getting tunnel vision with a RDS, then your not using it properly. |

my RDS is made by a good company. very respected in the paintball industry. i know that doesn't mean a lot in here, but i just thought i would share that. see in the end, it comes down to what you want your look to be. im getting an M14. so i wanted a longer "scope" but with no magnification cause magnification on my primary AEG would be pointless. basically im going to have a DMR look, but with the practicality of quick target acquisition. i have lens protectors in the mail as we speak (thanks Amos)
EDIT: i find the aimpoints, while awesome, are better suited for the Mp5, M4 look as well as the HK 416. thats just my opinion. Last edited by Donster; February 1st, 2008 at 01:41.. |

I've been told it's due to the aimpoint's larger frame. Which is believable. It does have a very large frame, and considerably smaller sight picture than the EOTech. Also, just because one has longer battery life, does not make it necessarily better. The EOTech is parallax free, and is operable in worse conditions than the Aimpoint, or Trijicon Tripower. |

hmmm
I don't know what you can call tunnel vision. If I am right and the Aimpoint I have is the one you are talking about... no tunnel vision what so ever... Also, I find that having the RDS too close OR too far from my eye will reduce the "easyness" of using RDS. Close allow for a quicker sight, but it closes your FOV. Too far, you have to be more in line with the RDS to be able to see the dot. I usually set it about 5-6" from my face. On a G36, I have plenty of place to decide where to have it... |

Personally, I would prefer a good EoTech, ACOG or Aimpoint replica, but for not a lot of money, I think the Leaper's is fine.

Notice the placement? Yet, I still had problems. |

your aimpoint is too low, get a higher mount. See over the front sight better, also helps focus past the aimpoint.
