M249 Ammo boxes compatibility?
heres my situation, im debating sometime in the near future i'd like to purchase a sliding stock for my CA M249. I'm looking forward to getting a box mag but im not quite sure if it will support a large 10v battery.
I'm looking into CA's cloth type and the Green box mags, im curious, is there a difference? edit and also can i use G&Ps, A&K, TOPs box mags?

CA and TOP box mags are compatible. Don't know about the rest. A really kick ass box mag design uses a real steel box mag and an internal system you build yourself. The instructions are on Guarder's website. You can easily have 3000 rounds in the mag.
As for a 10 volt battery, why would you want one? I tried a 9.6 volt in my TOP M249, and found the ROF way too fast, unrealistically so. I switched to an 8.4 and am quite happy with it. What good is having a high rate of fire in a support weapon if you chew up all the ammo in 5 seconds?

just so i can bring chaos! well actually i wanted to compete againt those already souped up or high end aeg's. I figured why have a m249 if it shoots just as fast?
i saw a video of a ptw and it had a pretty high ROF. im not sure how it compares to CA m249, it was just something i wanted to compete with

The G&P box mags are a design all on their own, totally different feeding mechanism that's incompatible with any other 249. They also carry their batteries in the box itself (makes sense, change box, fresh battery).

Real box mags are 20$ plastic shells. I have 2 lol
The G&P box kicks ass, too bad it's not compatible with CA... |

ehobby asia says the G&P box mag is compatible with the CA and the TOP
have you tried this on any other m249 thundercactus? and i found this at arnies website, its the A&K m249 box magazine, i know it doesn't work with the CA but i was wondering if the CA's box mag is able to fit a large battery as well?
