Help on removing C pins for sights?

I'm doing a painting project, but I just can't seem to take these pins out. I don't want to bash them out forcing them, just like to ask first.

This is from my G36c TM for front sight. Need to remove the front and rear sights.

Roll pins need to be pushed out with a drift. Bashing is not a good idea.

The tool is called a "drift".

That's why one puts a punch or a drift in the way, gives you something to bash on. Lol

Why not? I use white out all the time on front sights to make them stand out better against dark backgrounds, and I still have it on sights I did three years ago. Paint with whiteout? Go Fer It!!!

Protip: There are nylon punches available that are a lot more forgiving on pins and the finish of the metal surrounding it than your standard Canadian Tire tool steel punches. You can get them at Brownells.

I have some of those drift tools but I cannot find them. I was sure I had it working on a motorcycle.
But yeah, instead, I got the right size of an allen wrench and punched them out.
