ICS MP5 questions
I'm about to buy an ICS MP5. Don't know the model(A?), but it has a folding stock. My main concern is that I would like to put a full stock on it. Will it be possible?
And how am I suppose to know the version of the gun? I've heard that vr. 1 and 2 had problems? |

If you hear it has problems, and you want a fixed stock anyway, why dont you get age-verified and look in the classified section? Or simply buy the gun you want right away? Much cheaper than buying extra parts.

All ICS guns (AR and MP5 series) use their "version" of a Ver. 2. Parts are generally propreiatry, unless you like to change alot of them, then you can have success, or it can be a disaster.
There is no need to change a thing. They come with steel bushings, steel gears, Turbo 3000 motor. Put a full stock on it if you like, but it's best to buy an ICS stock (good luck with that).

The ICS guns made and shipped from spring of 2006 onwards came with the Turbo 3000, etc. Either you bought used, or you bought some really old stock.

The one I purchased this summer sports a Turbo 3000. Although It's having feed problems....I'd hate to thread jack, but anyone know of any solutions?
Yes, you can put a solid stock on it, it might require some rewiring though (if you plan to put the battery in it). However the battery in the stock balances the gun nicely. I'm just wondering where you are buying from that only has the folding stock option? Both retailers sell both collapsable and solid stock versions of all MP5 variants.

ICS used to make a whole bunch of MP5 models. Basically, any model could be had in full stock, sliding collapsable stock, stock cap only or folding stock. Imagine these all in "A" series and SD series.
Sometimes ICS is fussy with mags from other manufacturers, or the stock ICS high-cap would not feed properly. Start there and try some different mags or even a different BB brand.

Yeah, I think I'm going to try a different BB brand. I've tried both ICS Hicaps that come with the gun and my two other TM lowcaps. It seems to prefer to TM mags, but it still somewhat fickle. Maybe a good oiling aswell...
