Freedom Art TM Hi-Capa frame

What's the opinion out there on these? Are they worth the upgrade from the stock TM cast frame? How's the build quality on these?

I am looking towards Illusion as I might buy that government length rail frame off you....

they are nice
I like em; installation instructions that come with it are great
lighter than the pot metal stock frame though

I guess thats because they are aluminum without the steel insert that the stock one seems to have....need modification at all for them to work?

I highly doubt there is a steel insert
Im assuming that the stock frame is mainly zinc, which is a fair bit denser than aluminum

modification needed would be no more than whats needed in a quality metal slide; a bit of lovin' with sandpaper and a short wear-in time

Agree in regards to modifications.

Some minor filing is required to get a smooth action, but beyond that, all you'd need is a quality slide and a bit of loving.

Overall, I give them a thumb's up and have installed them in all 4 of the Hi-Capas I've ever owned.
