TM Sig Sauer P226 Slide Problem

I just purchased a used TM Sig Sauer P226, and it has a problem with the slide jamming in the open position.

I need to bump it with my hand to get it to snap closed, this happens both when racking it, and while firing.

There doesn't appear to be any problem with the spring, it feels likes its catching on something, but I can't see what it could possibly be catching on to make it jam like that.

It doesn't always jam open either, sometimes it snaps closed crisply, but more often than not it jams open.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

This happens to mine, too. So, if anyone has a fix for it, it would be very appreciated.

Put some Silicone on the slide and failing that use some search on Interwebz-27

You may have a loose screw. Take off the slide turn it over and look just behind the opening for shell ejection. There is a screw there that might need to be tightened. Tru loc tight or do what I did on a metal body one, re tab the hole and put in a new screw. Hope this helps
