MP5 Nozzle/Firing Problem

I broke my original ICS tappet plate and replaced it with a deepfire one. It required a bit of sanding for it to work smoothly in my gun. However now when i pull the trigger the gun goes through a regular cycle however it doesnt always shoot. I noticed that the nozzle starts halfway depressed before the cycle even starts. So when i pull the trigger it goes from halfway to all the way extended and then back to halfway again. This may not be the tappet plate but ive checked everything in the gearbox and it seems fine. When i go through the cycle manually by rotating the gears with a screwdriver the nozzle operates fine. Im just wondering if this is a motor/gear timing issue or what.

Thanks,
Greg

Sounds more like a tappet plate issue than anything else. As far as I know, your gun will require an ICS tappet plate, not a V2 tappet commonly available for CA and TM guns. Just recently I was given a few extra ICS Parts, and one of them included a spare tappet spring. When I put it in the same bag as my TM tappet spring, I noticed the one for the ICS was much shorter. So I'd say it's largely a tappet incompatibility issue and nothing wrong with your existing parts. Since you have an ICS, timing, gears, motor, etc are a non-issue because you only worked on the upper half of the mechbox.

Your right it was a the tappet plate. It wasnt too short but the material it was made out of was to beefy so i had to do a lot of sanding. But its shooting great now. Thanks for help

It just screwed up again. The nozzle is still all the way pulled in at the begining of the cycle and suddenly it stopped firing. I have a 30a fuse. nothing happens when i pull the trigger no click or anything. And the battery gets hot. I might rewire my gun anyway and put dean connectors in ti
