G36c Cycle and feed issues
Hello everyone,
I have an upgraded TM G36C and have been having issues with wissfires and multiple shot syndrome, the problem existed even when I first got the gun (stock) but was fairly uncommon until I upgraded the nozzle and tappet plate. The nozzel is a deepfire for the G36 and the tappet plate is a King Arms. Other upgrades include: Metal bushings, 120Ms spring, New Poly piston with 7 metal teeth. Gun is running on a 9.6v and the issue occurs with both Hi and Low caps. I have read in one thread (the only thread on the matter I could find) that this problem is not uncommon in G36 models as even when they are working properly the nozzle's resting point tends to vary dramatically after each cycle of the weapon causing BB backups and the odd multi-load. I am guessing that the 2 new aftermarket parts I added last have just aggravated the situation. Tappet plate spring seems to be in perfect condition and I have re-adjusted the guns timing to no avail. I have yet to try re-shimming as I don't exactly which way I should shift the gears to try to counter the problem. Any and all information I can get on this would be most helpful, please feel free to message in and let me know if there is anything else I should list information wise of if there are any details I can elaborate on. Thanks in advance, -Dr.

simple fix.
i had the same issue with my TM G36c. take out the hop-up assembly and look at the little ramp like thing that is directly above the infeed tube, it should be behind the hop-up, befor it. take it apart and you'll notice a little spring behind it. remove that spring and replace with a stiffer one. that small ramp is there to stop BBs from moving into the hop-up befor the nozzel pushes them forward. the problem is that the springs in the mags are stronger and over power that ramp, and then the first BB moves into the hop-up and allows another BB to load behind it. once you replace that spring and have one that is stiff enough to counter the pressure from the mag spring, your feeding issues should be solved.

Thanks a million Dynamo, I owe ya one man.
I'll give it a whirl and see if it puts the issue to rest (which I'm sure it will). Cheers, -Dr.

Well, "dramatic improvement" would be an understatement!
Thanks Dynamo, you've all but fixed my feed issues! As it stand, I'm still looking at about a 1 in 12 missfire ratio which, while acceptable, I'd still like to improve on. As far as the fix goes, instead of trying to track down a more powerful spring of the correct diameter and length I simply filled the path the spring rests in about 50% full of melted plastic (for those reading this thread in the future looking for an easy fix). If anyone out there has any thoughts on giving the G36 a 99.9% fire ratio by doctoring the Tappet plate or changing the gear set, please feel free to add your thoughts here. Thanks again Dynamo, -Dr.

Would this fix also happen to apply to a TM AUG? I'm getting the same sorts of missfeeding + double shot on stock

hmm I get double loading only when putting in a loaded mag, which I think is normal?

only if your AUG has the same hop-up assembly.
