P90 Battery Options
Alright, i got a P90 commin in, but i stupidly forgot to buy batts XD
So I looked around, hoping to find out what batts the P90 comes with and i was somewhat dissapointed to find an 8.4 600ma behind it. I was hoping to find a 9.6 so that i could increase the ROF without having to open the box. I wanna leave this gun stock and unmodified. Ive seen Jbatts, but they seem to be only useful if you have the extended stock or modify the batt compartment. I dont have the P90 in my hands yet so im not too sure how large the actual compartment is. My aim is to put a 9.6 in it. Im curious if the 9.6 Twin batt packs would fit, as they seem to fit in M4 Handguards. My other idea, is to put my Guarder Buttstock pouch (the zippered pouch is big enuff to fit an 8.4 large or one of the twin batts) And maybe leaving one of the twins in the chassis, and one of the twins in that pouch. Any Ideas or suggestions? |

If you're leaving this gun stock and unmodified, then don't power it with anything larger than 8.4v 1700mAh. Doing so will damage your piston, especially if you fire a lot in full auto.
Also, if you're leaving it bone stock, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with powering it with a mini. |

I was hoping to increase the ROF on the P90, as this is my backup, i wanted to keep this stock because stock boxes tend to last longer and be more reliable. Otherwise id have a systema helical high speed gearset + Guarder cylinder kit in here XD increasing Batt volt seems to be the easiest way to increase ROF without having to open the box.
Hurricane makes a rubber buttstock extender. Is that hollow inside? I cant quite tell from the pic Last edited by DarkAngel; August 1st, 2007 at 03:16.. |

The highest you can go without damaging parts, like I said, is an 8.4v 1700mAh sub-C pack, and even then, that's pushing the limit. Seriously.
The stock spring can't keep up with the speed. If you want to upgrade the ROF beyond that, you HAVE to open up the gearbox if you want to do things to prevent breakdown. Yes, putting in more voltage will increase the ROF, but if you don't balance the system out, you'll cause it to break down faster. Usually, people who try to do what you want to do will end up with worn down pistons and/or a sector gear. Don't know about the Hurricane extension. Never used it before, just the one by Right. |

Butt Xtender is just a friction fit. J Bat is a simple "cut hole in useless plastic to allow for extra batts" operation, so that should consume a few more posts I have a Jbat here If you are going to disregard Illusions advise, I'll still take your money lol.
