depends how much shooting your doing, my 3000mah battery lasted me 24 hours so a 2400 should be good for 8 hours

Depends on how much you shoot. I've had a 2400 mah last me 3 games before having to charge it. Then again I maybe only shot about 300-500 rounds each game

With an 8.4v 1100mAH. I did about 9 hours, and put through about 1500 BBs and the batt didnt die on me. I had extra batts but I also wasnt firing a crazy amount. Only did about 20 some mags that day. (68round mags)

in my experience, you get about twice the milliamperage in number of rounds with a mini battery, and about three times the mah in rounds fired with a large battery.
