Systema Mechbox Selector Switch Issue

this weekend I started assembling my project gun and ran into a small problem.
I got the mechbox into the Guarder metal body with little problem. Had to file parts of the metal body to make it slide in, no issues there.

I got a classic army selector switch and it was installed properly on the lowwer receiver. When the top receiver with the mechbox was attached to the lowwer receiver, everything went smooth, switch slid into its area just fine.

BUT, when I test the switch with the trigger now in, the safety doesnt work. Theres some resistance, but i can pull the trigger past where it should go on safe mode and have it fire.

Ive been told that with systema mechboxes, you need a certain type of selector switch, and if thats true, it looks like the classic army one isnt the right type! Any help?

Thanks guys

Your lower reciever might just be a tad off from where it needs to rest. It happens with my M4 as well *hurricane body, systema selector plate* if the body isnt aligned correctly your still able to pull the trigger on safe.

so semi and full auto will still work properly? is there a way to fix it without upsetting any other settings of the selector plate?

Anbody out there with a bit more experience know anything more about which selector would work? I'm having the same problem with the guarder body and am not gonna be leaving it without a proper safety, i'd like to get the right switch.

I know when I installed my 3 guarder gen 1 C8 bodies I had to file a little bit of the body because it was too tight and not allowing the selector plate to slide properly. These were all with TM shells and selector plates.

Mine was also touchy using a 'BestGun' MRP kit. In my case, I was able to solve it by loosening the grip screws that hold the pistol grip to the mechbox. When they were super tight, they would pull the mechbox down just a hair too far. All it took was backing off the screws about a half turn and everything worked fine.
