M14 SOCOM only firing full auto
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic.
Started a game this weekend with both semi and full auto. By the end of the day my SOCOM was firing full auto on the semi auto position. I got it home and took it apart. Nothing is damaged or missing. Anyone have the same thing happen? Solutions? Thanks. |

I was just wondering about the following questions:
What velocity is your M14 firing at? Did you upgrade the internals? Approximately how many rounds were fired when the gun was stock? If you gun has been upgraded, how many rounds were fired with the upgrade setting? Do you used the semi-auto function a lot? |

Sounds like you've worn out your cut off lever. That issue was detailed here and ASCA stocks the steel Guarder version. Installed one into my M14 and it works great.

Damn. I was hoping TM would fix that in the SOCOMs.

Ray,
It's shooting at 350fps. I put in the Guarder upgrade kit and an M100. I upgraded it as soon as I got it, so I never fired it stock. I put about 600-800 BB through it before this happened. I use the semi setting most of the time and only switch to auto occassionally. Colin Thanks for the link and I'll have to make a trip to ASCA. I have to take it apart again to see if that is the problem, but your probably right. Thanks. |
