ICS AK74 GEAR PROBLEM!!!!

Hey....I just got the Ak74 about 1 month ago, then during my first game, the motor etc were making noise. So I got it checked out by someone on sight and they said the gears wernt grbbing properly. Anyways, after getting the motor reset (up or down...not sure). The gun fired perfectly for the rest of the day.

Anyways... after firing some bb's today(100 or so), the noise came back and it seems like my motor has slipped again, or grinding too much. I really need a gun doctor or help on this one. Its been giving me the biggest problem in the world. Like you wouldn't beleive. I need some help on getting this problem fixed. I think its dumb to have to upgrade new motors or gears, for less then 1 month of use. So please someone help me, and msg me about similar problems, or gun doctors in toronto that can do this sort of stuff. Thanks soo much. Take Care!!

No man......The gun isnt firing and the gears are grinding down. Its not just a funny shooting noise. Like the motor has dropped off the gears, and I believe the gears might be worn down (both inside and on the motor). Im soo frustrated with this stuff, you wouildnt beleive. So I need help on this problem.

Have the gears replaced.

Im sure you can order them over seas from hongkong.

Then get a gun doctor to help you fit the gear back in.

However currently JaVP seems very busy. I msg him and he never replies.

Adjust your motor using the adjustment screw (put some loctite on the screw before) located below your grip until the motor turn the gears...

http://www.loctite.com/int_henkel/lo...d=114&layout=3
check for assembly product---threadlocker---removable strenght----threadlocker small screw : product is 222

My M4 was doing that from time to time... The motor adjustment screw get loose from the vibration

Hey yeah...I heard about putting lock tight on the bolt which u screw the motor in so it doesnt fall easy. Like So far Ive pretty much tried lots of positions while trying to put the motor back into placeand still hasnt solved the problem, only a really annoying bad crackinkling sound from the gears grinding. I dont know if i should kee trying till it works, or take it to a gun doctor. All I know is that the gears are wearing down frm the motor and internal (where motor touches gear inside) really fast. As well, where would I buy loctite ????? (Canadian Tire???) Anyways, let me know what you think I should do, because playing around with it seems to oly ruin it more.

P.S-->Should the motor be pushed all the way uit, or pulled out more?? Because all the way in soo far has just given me problems. So let me know!!!!

-->Also i cant tell the exact position the gears are suppose to be on, since the motor blocks the part where the motor gear touches the internal gears!!
Thx!!!

Make sure you use blue loctite. Stay away from red stuff, it's permanent.
If it's as bad as you describe than take the gun to someone who knows what they are doing. Adjusting an AEG motor should not take more than 2 minutes. Your bevel gear might already be messed up.

lol i just bought TwoHot2Touch`s gun and all i had to do was disconnect the motor then reconnect it again. Only problem i saw was that the motor was about 2-3mm lower then where the gears were, hence the terrible noise. I also read a post on another site that was sayin that one of the gears( i forget its name) can shift.

hope this can help if anyone has the same problem
