Dustcover won't open

I'm in the process of installing a guarder body on my M4 but the dust cover doesn't want to open to expose the hopup ajustment. Is there anything i can do?

I've taken it apart and I think I've found the problem. The plastic part on the charging handle doesn't pull the cover open. I've lubed all the moving parts with white grease but it doesn't seem to help.

Are you thinking that the charging handle opens the dust cover?
Cuz it doesn't...the cover stays shut for the most part unless your adjusting the hopup...

I think I may be using the wrong terminology. The part that doesn't seem to open is the metal plate that covers the hop up. When I pull the handle the covers flips open but the metalplate doesn't slide backto expose the hopup.

Then the charging handle piece that moves back the bolt cover isn't in the right position. If you move back the bolt cover past the charging handles "extension" it should be able to engage it when you pull back. Unless of course it's a metal body that doesn't have an airsoft "functioning" charging handle. Some of them just push back with your finger, at least from what I've seen.
