Finally got my m-14, after months of saving and begging the wife. I got the m-14 tm version in od. First off I noticed the weight difference and solid feel of the tm over gp. Thus far the preformance has been out standing. lol so far my only complaint is finding mags and a reasonably priced scope mount. Thanks to this thread I have seemed to dodge some of the pitfalls. Teflon tape works wonders is all I can say.

I love my TM M14, the out of box accuracy is just amazing, i can leave her on semi the whole game and not worry about missing shots...i'm thinking of upgrading to a tightbore once i have some cash in the bank again. As far as i know there are no black stocks for the TM version, but a can of krylon will do you fine, i'm thinking of doing a BHD type paint job at some point...
Personally i love the weight and length, i am by no means a big guy, 5'7" and about 130 lbs....yet i can manage with the length no problem, and as far as weight goes it'll keep your arms in good shape :P |

I have the OD version of the M-14 upgraded for now with a 120% spring and oiless bushings which shoots right around 400fps. For external upgrades I have the G&G RAS kit on it and a Tasco 3-9x 40mm scope on high mounts. Weight wise right now you will deffiently feel it the next day after running around for a day playing. If you use it on semi only you dont need a very big battery as on a typical game day I only go through about 5 or 6 locaps and still have plenty of juice left in the battery (8.4v 3300mah). It's one of the most accurate AEG's I have ever used and when tuned right the range is amazing. On a windless day i was easily able to hit the marine base from the front of the rocket base at FR with .25g with reasonable accuracy (guessing ~120 feet). For next season I am planning on changing it to the G&P EBR kit and as well right now have some external accessories on the way from Redwolf which is the VFC silencer, bipod adapter, harris bipod, M25 flash hider and a few other things that I cant remember. As well I plan up upgrade the internals some more and put a tightbore in it. Overall it's my favorite rifle for field play and I would never use anything else. it's the ultimate marksman AEG in my opinion.
