Define large battery. I ran 8.4 volts 2300 mah and a 9.6volt 2100 mah in my aug. I don't consider them huge, but I also don't label them as small by any means.

As long as the battery can run the gun all day.

Actually, I'm holding the CA AUG A1 here and I don't think it can fit a large battery in here without modifications. All of the adverts i've seen around have said mini type as well, and the gun only comes with a mini type connector...

But this gun is SWEET! (And loud to boot, no silent sniper in this package...)

Yes, when I posted that it takes a mini I had it next to me too. It may be able to take a larger battery if you remove the plate that seperates the battery compartment from the gearbox and motor, but I don't think that even then there'd be enough space; it's just a thin plastic cover with a curved bit to fit against a mini.
There is very little space in the stock where the battery goes, it's pretty much tailor made for a mini, exactly the right size.

After playing for one day outside with it now, I can say that I'm very happy with it. I had no problems with it at all aside from some minor things I want to fix with regards to performance.
It fires a very consistent 330 fps with .20 bbs, the range is alright, but bbs seem to want to drop earlier than they really should, with the hop-up turned up all the way.
I think I'm going to fiddle with the hop-up to see if I can make it turn up more.
Otherwise, it's very nice, with a pretty fast rate of fire.

Anyone knows if they are going to be releasing separte uppers for it? I used to have a tan lower and railed upper with my TM AUG. Looked really good.

And how much did you pay for it?
