I have the design just about finished (I'm currently in the process of finding suppliers for each part).

Estimated price, to be honest I have no idea but I have fairly deep pockets so I don't care what the prototype costs me. (I do want to know what people would pay for it, though, which is partly why I started this thread)

The twist barrels still have hop-up, so they wouldnt be any more resistant to hop-up wear than any other barrel. The twist barrels themselves do not achieve the range. The twist function of the barrels gives it the accuracy, but the hop-up is still what gives it the range, not the twist.

This "proposal" sounds awfully similar to the P3 project, especially with the proposal of using .88g BB's.

Toy-tec does not even use C02 for propulsion, relying on a piston system, ie. AEG. I would prefer this system.

Do you have any access to machining equipment that could even possibly closely replicate something of this complexity? (A gas chamber block from the Asahi Airsoft Minigun)

If you can afford to purchase, feed, and maintain a minigun, you can afford $25 in hop rubbers for your barrels. If you use hard sleeves and buckings you'll get more life out of them. Even if the effect isn't as significant due to the lack of tackiness it will still be better than having none at all.

there already are a few minguns on the market.
The American 6mm Minigun is the only one thats worth considering.

but without a hopup and a reliable feeding system, these guns are nothing but fancy paperweights

as I said previously in the thread, I am fully aware that this *has* been done before.

A couple things to note:

Used in good condition with accessories these M134 guns have sold "Used" for over $9000.

The Toy-tec airsoft minigun came out a year after the Asahi and it was Toy-tec's most expensive gun ($2685-$2885 USD) to date. [...] A used Toytec gun now in average condition is worth over $6200 US if you are able to find one on the used market.

See a trend here?
1) These guns are not being manufactured anymore (at least, not nearly enough to meet demand).
2) The ones that are out there have appreciated (quite a bit, too) despite being used.

Seems like a pretty lucrative venture to me.
