Hop-Up Question
If I leave the hop-up on a certain position for long periods of time, will the accuracy change? And does leaving the hop-up in the same position for days bad for it? I just want to get this straight, I remember reading somewhere that leaving the hop-up in the same position for several days isn't good for it. But I just want to make sure.

Doesn't matter. Usually over time it will de-adjust itself, and you'll want to reset it at the start of every game to ensure you're getting the best accuracy.

Alright, thanks for the quick reply harleyb. By "reset", do you mean to put it in the position that you know is most accurate, or put it all the way back to zero?

Because of factors you can't control, like the temperature and other properties of the hopup rubber, you'll have to test and set the hopup every time you play; a perfect setting on one day could cause problems on another. To set, you shoot a couple of rounds down range, turn the hopup up or down a tiny amount and fire a few more rounds... keep doing that until you're getting the optimum range. If you've never done it before, ask someone experienced at a game to help you, it's one of the most important skills to have in airsoft.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I'll do that at my next game.
