Yes to both questions. If you can make it during lunch time, we can talk further about your needs.
They're called drop leg rigs and it's not stupid to use them.

Well, I'll toss some different solutions out for you Shady, although it might cost a bit more: I have seen MOLLE pouches that fit AK mags, MOLLE pouches are commonly available in a variety of colors (including black), so if you picked up a black vest with PALS webbing or something, you could configure you own setup.
Alternatively, my Arktis 1601 assault vest held AK mags; the mag pouches on it are really big (I can fit four AR mags in each). The shape of AK47 mags made for a slightly ackward fit, but i could stuff two in each without much trouble. The 1601 is available in black. Seeing you aren't age verified, I'll assume there's a good chance you haven't picked up your gun yet - maybe you wanna consider an AK74 variant instead. The mags are a lot easier to fit in Western pouches than the curvier AK47 ones.

no i havent been age verified yet but im not planning on buying the ak on the forums probably from 007airsoft so age verification wont be needed although i might meet bruce tomorrow so i can browse the classifieds. but ya im considering on getting drop leg rig and a black vest pockets or no pockets ill just pick one i like, my only concern is does it go on the side of your leg or behind it? if anyone has one does it feel weird to run? i would imagine it flopping on your leg and making it annoying to run. i would only need 1 pouch to fit another ak mag, i believe the ics ak47m comes with 2 550 round mags that should be enough for almost any game. im not planning on getting a secondary weapon right away or atleast not for awhile so i doubt i would need one with pistol mag pouches.

Ok, that's all I meant, you haven't bought the gun yet, so you have options. And AFAIK, ICS doesn't make an AK47, onlt the AKM-74 -- gun is outwardly similar, but not the same mags. AK74 mags are easy to fit in pouches. As for the leg panel, I presume you mean something like this dropleg platform: http://www.eagleindustries.com/ProdD...p?PartNoID=664 As with drop leg holsters and stuff, we generally aren't used to having stuff strapped to our legs so it takes some getting used to, specially when you have something with noticeable weight. But re-reading your post from before that, it sounds like you wanted the leg panel just to fit AK mag pouches. That panel is MOLLE (if you aren't familiar with what MOLLE is, those straps all over it are used to weave in different types of fasteners [MALICE clips, MOLLE2] which hold pouches or whatever you put on in place), so unless you meant some kind of subload leg rig with pouches (like a dump pouch) to keep your mags in, you might as well just get a black molle vest and put the molle pouches directly onto that.

The ICS AK74M looks really sweet, I've been thinking of getting one if I can't find an affordable body kit for my AK project.
As for the vest, you brought up armor at some point, dunno if you were just kicking around the idea or if its something you want; if it is, there's a lot of full armor and plate carrier options that have Molle on it, so you can set up whatever pouches you want. The added benefit, especially if you're running a full armor, is you can get a molle chest rig or vest (just a basic thing, no soft armor/plates) for really cheap, and if some days you don't feel like lugging around a hot/heavy armor, or you're playing a CQB game or something and wanna get small, you can use it instead of the armor, and just reuse the same pouches in whatever configuration you need. So you have something lighter/cooler, for an extra $50 or whatever (a lot less if you shop on ebay). Anyway, just tossing options out there for you. Look around a lot before you buy, there's tons of really nice kit out there now.
