reflex sight
Im looking at getting rid of my Kings Armamnet RDS, and investing in a reflex sight. I was wondering if anyone has used them before, specifically this model. Im going to try to make a hood for it, so i can make like a crappy EOtech replica. Just wondering what there like, as im pretty impressed with the KA replica.

i was thinking about doing that too...
i thought about maybe using some .050" galvanized sheet metal, bend it, then paint it a nice flat black post up a how-to if you get it done before me |

yeah i was thinking the same, but you have to make space for the brightness dial, and be careful of covering the battery port. If these thing are right on the rail, they must be hard in the neck! might want to get a riser. Also on a EOtechm the window is big, campared to this little guy. Is it possible to make your own glass? i dont understand holo technoligies.

Since this is an "open-sight", you'll find that the degree of view will be limited. You pretty much have to look straight through the middle to see the dot. Move your head out of the way a bit and the dot might disappear.
It's unlike an "enclosed sight" or EOTech's HoloSight where you can see the dot pretty much no matter where your head's positioned. One other downside is that it may be damaged or dirtied more easily since it's not enclosed. But you get more visibility, because the sight's opened - and it has a smaller profile. Construction and visual quality of this sight is not bad. The four reticles are fun to play around with, and pretty cool. The brightness is also strong enough that you can see the dot in daylight (which is a problem with many lower quality open sights). Bottom line is, it gets the job done - on a budget.

I bought this exact sight off of Ebay to see if I liked the reflex sights or not. I liked the sight and it worked well.
Pros: Easy fast targeting by not having to look down a tube as in an aimpoint. Cheap Durable Bright, even on sunny days. Cons: The large metallic red color on the glass when viewed from the front. Some bleeding of the recticle when using in very dark conditions. I bought mine to see if I liked the reflex sights, and to see if I should spend money on a Bushnell or Eotech Holosite. Well I did, and I did. Love the Holosite, but as mentioned before, if you're on a budget, get this sucker. |

yeah, i was looking at a EOthech for a beretta cx4, but at 500 bucks, thats quite a bit for my m4. My KA aimpoint replica is nice, but i find its hard to get target accusition, especially in succesion, especially in CQB, where i often find myself. I hoping to pick one of these up on my next stop at ehobbyasia, and start a hooded system ASAP
