Knee/Elbow pads - Hatch or Alta Tactical?
I've tried a friend's pair of Hatch Centurion knee pads before, and for me they were OK (they had some slight trouble staying on). Right now I'm looking for a set of Elbow/Knee pads for myself.
Between Hatch Centurion and Alta Tactical, which of the two have you found to work better regardless of camo options? Or is there no true difference between the two manufacturers? The type of the pads I am referring to are the standard hard cap ones, not soft. |

I only have a pair of Woodland/Black Alta Tactical knee and elbow pads, they stay on and never loosen or fall down to shins for me, easily tightened and loosened straps help. I'd go with ALTA!!!

I've used both, and Alta are definitely better.

Agreed, alta all the way (I own a pair of both, and the Alta's are far more comfortable, and stay in place better). Check out www.davesarmysurplus.com They have both versions of CADPAT knee pads.

I have used both Hatch and Alta and the Alta ones are far better in quality and in getting them on and off.
The Hatch you have to feed the velcro through the buckle and pull it back onto itself. The Alta's have a button that you loop a "hook" onto. We have quite a large number of them in stock as well as elbow pads to. http://www.oneshottactical.com/merch...tegory_Code=PW

Alta all the way baby. The velcro on the Hatch ones gets fowled with crap, you'll never encounter that with the Alta ones.
If you have trouble with them slipping down, try smearing a little bit of silicone caulking on the inside of the lower strap. This will help, that or grow some bigger calf muscles.

I've only seen the Alta ones, but own a pair of the Hatch ones, from what I can tell the Alta would be better/more comfortable. Just saying because I regularly use my Hatch ones and they aren't perfect.

I've never tried the Alta kneepads, but there are tricks to make the hatch kneepads stay up (I just use one and strap it to my leg rig when I'm using it). Hatch has new kneepads out that I haven't had the opportunity to try. You can get regular Hatch kneepads for $15 US, or the TLS for $40 US. I haven't seen the Altas for less than $35 CND, but you get what you pay for, apparently.
