Battery Chargers??????
Hey Everyone....
I just bought a battery off the internet, now im really wondering what type of battery charger to use. I heard the charger is one of the most important things in terms of having the battery charge well, and that peak charge is one of the best options to have, as well as one that can do nicad, and nimh. I hope to hear what chargers you guys all recommend, and where you got them as well as the cost of it. Im having a real trouble to find one that is cheaper then like 120$, but like still has a screen and charges batteries great. Thanks soo much for all your help!!!! |

The best charger for airsoft is the Duratrax Pirhanna. With some searching, you can probably find one for about $100.

Hey, how long will it take to charge batteries, and i heard pirannah is good. Now the question is does it discharge batteries, or only charge the. cause i mgiht get a nicad battery down the road, and i heard u need to discharge those before charging them. Hope to hear back thanks!!
As well as how well this charger works, and the time it takes to charge basic batteries. Thanks!! Quote:

Briefly, the time to charge depends on the capacity of the battery and the current supplied. To charge a 1300mAh "large" (sub-C) battery at 3A, the maximum safe current for large batteries, it'll take less than half an hour to fully charge. It'll take more than half an hour to charge regular "mini" (2/3-A) battery. It's recommended to discharge a NiCad completely (1V/cell) at least once every two months. You can buy or build a discharger very cheaply. |

I got mine at some hobby store in Toronto for $100 IIRC. Couldn't tell you the name even if I wanted to.

Hobby Home on Steeles/Young carries Pirhanna charger, something around 80 bucks I think. I got mine from that guy. Pirhanna is pretty good, I'm happy with mine. It can probably charge just about anything and at any rate you want it to charge, slow, fast. It's all there.
Call him and ask. (416)221 8411 P.S Charger we are talking about here does not discharge.
