kwa 93r slide stick

the rubber gas release port at the top of the mag on my kwa 93r becomes rather dry which causes the slide to not fully close when moving forward. this can be solved by sparying some silicon oil onto the rubber piece about every other time reloading but it is rather anoying and causes the first 10 or so shots to more or less slide down the barrel. i considered shaving down the rubber piece slightly so there wouldnt be ac much contact with it and friction would be reduce but i decided that would cause mating problems with the slide and thuse there would be an extreme reduction i nposer. any ideas?
