2nd post of pics! see above.

One of the pics compares side by side, the difference in sizes between a full 5.1 hi-capa and the 3.8 from WE.

not on all. i only checked out the dragon and the striker. never got a chance to with the 3.8 (sold out i think). the dragon was crisp in the blowback and the striker is basically a 5.1 with a very sharp strike head. no difference that i noticed in performance.

It seems that noone has really had a chance to play with these 3.8's yet to give a good review of one. Well, once I recieve mine I guess I will have to saddle up and do it.

I played with my 3.8 last weekend. I used a CO2 mag from my 5.1 in it because it was -1C and green gas doesn't seem to work very well when it gets cold. Both my 5.1K and my 3.8 worked very well in the cold with the CO2 mags. I was using the 3.8 and I lent the 5.1 to my buddy. I found the 3.8 very accurate and picked off a guys leg with a double tap from ~35 feet no problem. Doesn't sound like much but I was pinned down behind a car and was popping up over the hood to shoot. The guy I shot was using a few pine trees for cover and all I could see to shoot was the bottom of his leg.

I'm not sure what kind of groupings it will shoot compared to other GBB's as I don't have anything to compare it with. I can't even compare it with other GBB's for that day as most of the guys I play with can't use their green gas guns in that weather. Both the 3.8 and the 5.1K chrono'd over 350fps at -1 C. I'd fired several shots with the 3.8 prior to testing it so it was likely a bit higher with the first few shots. I have tried firing both with CO2 at room temperature and I've found that the 3.8 has some serious blowback (possibly self-destructive), so I definitely will not use CO2 in it when it gets warmer outside. The 5.1K seems to shoot fine at room temperature with the CO2.

I have tried neither with green gas yet, so I can't compare the performance with green gas to that with CO2.

I'm looking forward to seeing some Green gas vs. CO2 comparisons with these guns.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the 3.8 fits my baby-sized hands better than the 5.1K so I found it easier to grip. That probably explains why I found it more accurate than the 5.1K (I found the 5.1 a bit inconsistent). The 3.8 has less barrel wobble as well when the slide is back so maybe it's a little tighter after it cycles the slide. The 3.8 kicks a bit harder, but it weighs less and fits in my hand better which probably makes up for the harder kick.

heeeeeey 80 shots per co2 powerlet! not bad! it sucks that reviews are so crappy in general, there has got to be a better way to define "good kick". people say that the WE 5.1 has good kick, but really i found it blows ass. the slide is FAR too heavy for the poor thing and although the blowback is powerful as in it shakes your arm, it moves so slowly that it's just pathetic and uses so much gas to do it that you get nasty cooldown after 10 quick shots. the marui hicapa running on propane with the stock slide (lets say the oring holds) has super fast recoil that kicks with less brute force but all at once. it's something hard to quantify. also "pretty accurate" is retarded to even bother saying as you know that another user might say it's SUPER ACCURATE and another may be disappointed because it actually doesnt compare to anything.

Only problem I had was my BB's jammed (on the propane mag of my 5.1K), though I didn't load them properly so that was partially my fault...

One thing I did notice was the slide was definitely stronger with CO2 mags in my 5.1. So much, that I don't think I'll be able to use my CO2 mags on the 3.8 (whenever I get it).

Do 4.3 hi-capa metal slides fit the 3.8? What about 3.9 slides for the WA SV?
