Tanaka M24 Impressions

Well, today i handled and fired a Tanaka M24 SWS.

The stock is very nice, and extremely solid.

Upon cycling the bolt the action was very smooth and realistic, i have fired many real steel rifles and the feeling is very similar.

This M24 had been fitted with the G&G Heavy Barrel Set (comes with new outer barrel that helps with barrel spacing, a tightbore barrel, and a reinforced Hop chamber) this gun also had G&G hop rubbers.

I aimed at a target about 65m away and fired. I hit the target well after some minor scope adjusting. The gun was loaded with SGM BBs.

I went back about another 15m and fired, and it hit fairly close to where i was aiming

So with the little experiance i have had with this rifle i would say its a very good gun for people who are willing to compromise a little bit of performance for action and looks (depending on what gun's looks you like). However i have in person witnessed a Tanaka Rifle performing rather bad in cold weather, so if you live in the arctic forget it.
