Yep, my SHS piston is seized in the VFC gearbox. Strange how it still moves freely in the G&P gearbox. Anyways, how will I know if the RA one on your site will work in my VFC? Don't want to buy one that will just get seized again

When you swap parts and brands they will inevitably have different dimensions. Those miniscule differences in the gearbox dimensions can cause the differences in fps e.g. front of gearbox thickness where the hop up rubber sits, where the cylinder is seated relative to where the hop up mates with the gearbox, or even how thick the inside the gearbox is where the tappet plate pushes forward the nozzle. Definitely do not be surprised by this outcome.
I took my digital micrometer for the G&P nozzle and the Retro Arms nozzle. G&P was 20.00mm and the Retro Arms was ~21.39mm. G&P definitely off spec. Will switch. Seems the VFC gearbox causes the SHS Piston to not move freely either, so probably need a new piston.

Not my site.

And a new one probably won't fit any better.

Sometimes the non-pre-lightened SHS pistons will fit.

Typically I grind the rails in the mechbox to get a better fit. Alternatively select a different brand of piston.

Airsoftparts.ca has a note on their current batch fitting well in VFC shells.

Talking

Update:

I have since shaved down the rails of my Piston body from help that someone posted a video of. Exact problem I was having. After shaving about 0.5mm or so off the body the piston moves freely. I also changed the nozzle to a Retro Arms 21.4mm nozzle and I am back up to ~1.3J. Thanks everyone for the input and help!
