Real sword type 56-2 stops firing after firing a lot of consecutive shots

As the title suggests, the gun stops firing after firing a lot of shots consecutively. The trigger just does this click sound, instead of actually firing. To fix it, I had to move it to fully out, fire a few, and then back to semi.

I asked a friend, and he said that I was firing too fast and the piston wasn't having enough time to cycle. Is this the case?

My other gun is the Krytac LVOA and I haven't had this issue with it. I can click almost as fast as my finger is able to, and no issues like this.

Thoughts?

Is it an AK?

Those use v3 gearboxes. Known problem of being prone to locking up when short stroking the trigger.

Make sure you let the gearbox cycle before the next shot. Either switch to a better battery (higher voltage, minor improvement) or switch to a different gear set e.g. 13:1 or shave a few teeth away on the sector gear.

Yeah, it's an AK, with v3 gearbox.
