Is difluoroethane duster gas harmful to your gun

So after doing reading up on duster gas I read to use tetraflouroethane based gas and not difluoroethane due to the fact it will corrode parts of your gun. Is this true. I have a TM pistol I'm looking to use but as everyone says don't use green gas cause it will break it but tetraflouroethane, 144a, 134, and so on are banned in canada because of environmental laws soooo it's either green gas/propane or difluoroethane duster.

You can get 134a duster, it's harder to find though. I get 134a duster & freeze sprays without too much issue at work (they are the same, freeze spray just has a dip tube internally)

Techspray brand is what I get

I ran green gas/propane in my Tokyo Marui P226, FN 5/7, PX4 Storm and MK23 Socom successfully. Well that's a lie sort of, the two 5/7s didn't like green gas...or duster for that matter, or temperatures above or below 18•c, or being filled, or being shot, or being handled, etc.

There have been instances of TMs having issue with green gas, such as the P226 E2 version, but mostly you should t have issue and if you do, just upgrade it to green gas ready.

What TM pistol do you use?

It's airsoft it's supposed to break after x years. They're toys after all so don't expect it to outlive realsteel counterparts.

If it breaks get a replacement/aftermarket part. Much easier using propane, cheaper and more readily available than green gas.

Duster should only be considered if FPS limits are a concern and using propane will cause you to be restricted at your field.

If you are plinking indoors I would recommend an air vent or open spaces because you can die from inhaling too much of either gas.

I switched from propane to green gas and found better seal longevity and less black gunk when cleaning. Although propane is cheaper I don't find I go through too much green gas to worry about it. If it were primary mags that'd be a different story. So if your pistol is just your secondary weapon then I suggest green gas. I bought three cans back in 2013 and they just ran dry.

I know a few guys who ran TM pistols on propane and they ran for over ten years, so the potential is there. Plus there are hella upgrade parts available for them.

Sorry for the late reply. It's the Desert Eagle, I've ran about 3-4 mags through of green gas just for testing after it arrived and also making mom try shooting it ;D

I just wanna make sure before I use it more and when I game it (and I fully intend to XD despite how ridiculous it is :P) I don't end up wrecking it.
