Red face Comparing the VFC m4 to the Lonex m4

As some of you know I recently bought my first AEG, and at the time I was torn between a VFC and a Lonex. I ended up choosing the Lonex because of their reputation for quality internals, and better pricing. So far I don't regret my choice. My gun shoots a consistent 400fps nice and straight with good grouping. I could have done without the EBB, which I didn't know I was getting, but at the same time there is something satisfying about that little extra kick you get when you fire.

The main comment about the VFC that I heard was their top notch externals, and at the time I compared them at the store and didn't see much difference between the two. This weekend my son's friend came to the field with us, and he had a VFC, so I was able to spend some time comparing the two guns in detail. What I found is that the two guns are almost identical in every way! With the exception of a couple of very minor things; slightly different sling points, slightly different triggers and different outer barrel detailing, (mine had a longer barrel) you could not tell them apart. They were so much alike that I would hazard to say they both came out of the same factory!
I wonder how many factories there are making airsoft guns...there can't be THAT many...

That's interesting. I've always thought after years other reputable brand shouldn't be really behind VFC in terms of externals.
