So we got to the field today and had a great time! I borrowed a rental battery to get me going. They had batteries for sale there, but only 11.1v LiPo!
I ran into a feeding problem with Flash Mag that came with the gun. I first noticed it last night testing in the garage, and it didn't get any better at the field. From what I can see there is a rivet or something sticking out slightly just inside the feeder that the rounds hang up on. My son's flash mag is completely smooth there, so it's definitely a factory defect. Hopefully I won't have any trouble getting it replaced.
After borrowing a rental mag, I was back in action. The gun shoots consistently between 397-401 fps with .20s.
I was pretty happy with how the gun performed out of the box. I had the occasional dry fire, but I think it was the mag I was using. The gun shot straight and consistent. One little annoyance I noticed that has to do with being a lefty in a right handed world...the selector switch is in a position where my hand touches it when holding the grip. The detentes aren't very strong so I found when it was in semi it was really easy to bump the switch into either the safe or the auto position! Really annoying when you run to cover, and try to fire and the safety is on!
Other than those little issues I am pretty happy with my purchase so far!
