G&G GEC36 (G36C) **Owners Thread**
Hello all, first post, long time lurker. Great forums & People here BTW
I, like many others am a sucker for a G36. I had a chance to hold a CTac G36 and it felt good, but I'm personally not a CTAC guy (for better or worse) it was quite light, similar to other G36's I've tried. I was going to pull the trigger on the G&G GK5C - which I fell in love with. I'm a sucker for that gun, love the build, and since the issues are solved on it for the most part, it's a very solid gun. Before pulling the trigger on it, I found a shop with a G&G G36C and figured, in the name of due diligence, I might as well have a look. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to pick it up and realize it's only 1.5lbs or so lighter than the GK5. If any of you have shouldered that gun, then you know it's heavy. Feels amazing. This is the heaviest G36 I've picked up. Up to this point, I had my sights on a KWA G36 which is discontinued I believe, but I managed to find one. They are solid guns. I haven't shouldered one so I don't know how it compares in weight without looking at the numbers. If you can find a KWA G36, amazing internals. Beautiful gun, well shimmed and all. Anyhow, I had a chance to take the G&G G36C and the GK5C to their range and fire a few hundred rounds in each. Both feel great, but I bonded with the G36 almost immediately, when it got boring cutting targets in half, I started shooting the "target holding clips" off of the line. One by one, just popped them off. The owner had a good laugh, and I had to apologize for making work for him, but it's one of those guns that lends itself to such activities. I won't tell you it's the most accurate gun out of the box, but between these two guns, it was. It was snappy, the hop up was easy to tune and basically I would just fire one shot to see how I needed to adjust aim (wasn't sighted in for me) and I'd snap 5 shots off and ring those clips every shot. I was so please. Obviously, YMMV, however I can see we will be fast friends this gun and I. Compared to the passable garbage I've had before, this guns is remarkably consistent. Time will tell however... I can tell you now, it's heavy (especially for its size), just shy of the real thing. So you are gonna want to be comfortable with that. It's an absolute bargain with pricing ranging between 305cdn (before shipping) to 355 with battery, charger combo all in with tax. Right now, in my very humble opinion, it's a top value for the build quality. While not overtly advertised, it is a top/tech, however it does not have blowback. But it has a locking cocking handle with RL release. Unlike other G36's I've tried, you have to have your hand or any bits of meat out of the way before you release it. It has a very real feeling return spring and snaps closed hard. The folding stock is of course nice (and standard across all G36's) but this makes it a pretty relevant gun for CQB or longer range action. My planned upgrades after I use it for this season will be an auto braking mosfet and barrel upgrade (it uses a 6.04 vs the GK5C's 6.03) that said, I couldn't see an advantage over the G36 barrel with my (admittedly) limited time with it. Anyhow, long post, but there is precious little info on this model since G&G just released it around Christmas. The Serial# on mine is 11...that's pretty damn cool. Either it will be someone's mistake, being so early in the run, or they where extra diligent with the first few hahaha, you never know. Time will tell. I'll post updates as I can. If anyone has any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them, though I'm sure there are others far more qualified here. I figured I'd make this an owners thread. I did some searches and found no other G&G G36C type threads. Hopefully it was a thorough enough a search. Cheers Mag-numb Last edited by Magnumb; March 27th, 2015 at 03:17.. |

Well, I'm guessing the market has had its fill of the G36?
With the KWA G36, MIA I think this is about the best in it's class. Discuss. |

The reason you find no other posts or users is because it's so new. I don't even know if anyone in Canada has one yet. I'm just getting them in stock in my store this week or next week.

My local tech has had them since January, all sold fast but I haven't heard first hand reviews from those who purchased them. They feel nice though
