MAG magazines are great. Never had problems with their 190 metal, plastic mid caps, and plastic M16VN.

If you can afford it, Magpul PTS PMAGS are great too.

I've had issues with the Magpul PTS PMAGS in my VFC 416, not sure if the magwell is the same on the VR16 but maybe someone can confirm.

I had issues with my Mapgul PTS Pmags too, same with ZTR, stupid nub at the feed lip would always jam up, so I ended up removing them.

I would just get cheap pmags (beta project) and mag mag, and you can tacticool reload, and not give a fuck about losing or dropping them.

My opinion of course.

When I had my PTS pmags and I dropped them I was like "NOO NOT MY $35 mags" but $5-10 mags, whatever.

The HK416 has a different magwell profile. This is also true in the RS world until Magpul released their Gen3 mags.

They are somewhat model dependent with VFC (they worked in 2 out of 3 of my VFC M4s), but the Socom Gear 180 round midcaps in either the Troy or Lancer styles are amazing.

The VR16's have standard M4 magwells and aren't 416's, so any STANAG mag should be compatible.
Interesting BioRage, my Beta Project PMAGs suck, but the Magpul ones feed really nicely for me. Dropping them does make me cringe though.
Forgot about the Socom Gear ones; I've heard good stuff about them as well.
