ARES M4E not shooting continuously.

Hey Guys,

My gears just got chewed up 2 weeks ago. I now have my M4e up and running with new gears.

The M4e's shooting is controlled electronically. It's was programmed to shoot normal single fire on semi and auto on auto (no burst)

Anyway after I completed my installation, It only shoots 3 round bursts on both semi and auto. What makes it worse is that it stops working after I push the trigger 5 times. If I wait a little bit, or change the battery, It will shoot again. Even if the motor is not fixed in the gearbox, it would do the same thing.

Seems like an electronic issue to me. Can anyone recommend a fix or workaround to this?

Thanks

Smile Problem Fixed.

After re-opening the gearbox to figure out what exactly is happening, I did solve the mystery.

Since the firing mechanism is completely electronic, I didn't realize that the gear pulling on the piston had a magnet embedded within the gear. This was the part that was causing the sensor to either fire once or continue firing. I was lucky enough to be able to re-use the old gear and just replace the stripped ones.

For anyone else out there with an Ares m4e. If you decide to upgrade your gears, make sure you get a magnetized "sector" gear
