Damnit Farmboy, I want a set of wolf/blk :\ but then my CB would go to waste :P.
Oh don't worry about it. I know Arcteryx is a great brand and well worth the money. Thank you for your suggestion though. Sorry if I took you comment too seriously.

Since the thread is here, might as well ask.

Anyone had experience with the integrated knee pads (like the gen3 ones)? Are those worth the money? Where can I even get them?

I have them in my Gen3 pants, they are quite comfy! I've had external ones with velcro straps and they never felt too comfy. You could get them from CTOMS.ca, that's where I got mine.

I use Eight Ball knee pads that I got from a pack of protective gear bought for 15$ at Winners. Work like a charm.

There seems to be a wide dispersion of effectiveness. The Crye airflex stay in pace and work great. Clones don't stay and are a pain in the ass if you are playing in the bush because if they get caught on anything they rip right out.

In any case, I would suggest adding to the Velcro around the edge to get a more secure attachment to the pants themselves.

The Crye Precision are way out of my budget right now (Thanks cav for the link!). I've been looking into the FFI or Allwin sets (Gen3 clones). So far, there has been mostly good reviews of the FFI ones, but mixed for Allwin.

I love my Arc'teryx. Saved my knees countless times.
