Learn by practice. Best way is hands on.
Read about stuff here or on asm (highly recommend that forum) buy a cheap (not externally broken) aeg for like sub $150 and tinker...

(ka, g&g, ca, dboys, jg, metal body m4 can be parted out to recoup some costs if it's not for you)
