Hi capa slide install problem
Okay. I got a PGC Aluminum slide im trying to install....When i put in the blowback system, it doesn't seem to sit flush with the side rails, so when i try to put the slide back on the lower receiver, it gets stuck and doesn't go back all the way. Now, when i remove the rear sight, which sits on top of the blowback system housing, it seems to be more "in flush" with the side rails but still doesn't fit back on the lower receiver....
What should I do? What could be the problem? |

grind off the nub on the bottom of the sight.
This is a common issue with PGC Hi-Capa slides. Shooter's Design slides are a drop-in fit and require minimal work. You'll also need to do some fiddling to press the slide down onto the rails while tightening the bolt which holds the blowback chamber in place. You'll need to find that "sweet spot" where you get maximum torque of that screw without screwing up the slide movement. Alternatively, you can find the offending locations of the slide that force the blowback chamber to protrude and grind those off as well. |
