Goggles that fastens onto the helmet

Hi guys,

I am looking to invest in a better set of goggles. I've seen some goggles where the straps are fastened onto the side of the FAST helmets.

I am wondering which type of goggle would that be, and what mounts / straps are needed?

I like the Boogie Bungee Cord Straps, they are designed for Boogie Regulators but you can use them with any Goggle really. I like these straps especially since you can strap the two velcro straps together if you don't want to wear them with a helmet (basically you can wear them like regular goggles without switching anything).

Now for goggles, that is all up to personal preference and what you want from them. Do you want low profile? Ones that fit over glasses? Do you need ones with a fan? Do you need a specific fit ie. Asian Fit? etc etc.

I think as long as you stick with the big names like Revision, Smith Optics, ESS, etc., you should be fine, most of these companies make goggles that are compatible for usage with helmets as well as various accessories for them ie mounting clips and such.

EDIT: FYI a "cheaper" solution/something I did in the past for straps was using shoelaces, or just go out and get your own shot (Bungee) cord. For the velcro strap, just use sticky velcro strips, take one female and male and stick them together. Punch a hole through the velcro, run the laces or cord through them, boom instant goggle straps.

They also make a bungee/Velcro kit for smith optics Lopro goggles, which fit beautifully with the fast helmets.

Perfect. Thanks guys.

On a side note, which headsets are a good fit under the FAST helmets?

COMTACs with rail adapters are the best. Sordins or standard headband COMTACs work alright if you remove the side pads.

Just avoid anything neckband as it interferes with OPS-Core's Headloc.
