I think you just should go for TM, wont have worries, great gun right out of the box. KWA 1911s all have that problem with the firing pin Common problem on the forums there. TM would be less headache, and if anything should need to replaced, parts are everywhere! If i have done more research I would have gotten TM instead :C

I've read about issues with internal parts breaking but seeing as its largely TM compatible parts wise (correct me if I'm wrong) wouldn't swapping breakage prone parts resolve those issues?

I know early WE products were apparently crap but I've been seeing a number of threads saying WE's been coming out with better stuff lately.
Their new stuff is great, I have their Glocks and XDMs instock in my store, and I run a WE XDM myself as my current favorite pistol (and indoor primary).

However their older designs like the 1911 and their Hicapa clone have a high lemon rate and perform poorly in general.

Any thoughts on their M&P9? I've seen pretty good reviews on it short of some QC issues with the hop up dial and the full auto issue which can be remedied with a bit of minor filing work on the sear. Might be a contender as a sidearm for me, but would like to get a feel for it in hand first.

Felt nice, had crisp blowback like the new Glocks and XDM's. I had one instock and sold it. Can't tell you much else than that.

1911 GBB KJW vs KWA

I have both KJW (KP-07 MEU) and KWA 1911 (Mk Series I, II, III, IV) styles. They both have a nice balance when it comes to weight and they're pretty consistent in their shooting.

The nice thing about KWA is their NS/2 gas system which makes them much more efficient in their use of gas.

Having said that, the KWA has about a $25 - 30 premium and the mags are a bit costlier too. The nice thing about KJW is that they can accomodate both GBB as well as CO2 mags.

Uppercanadatactical.com has both KWA and KJW in stock and they are quite reasonably priced.
