Why not trying READING the reasons they were banned and the DATES they were banned?
The RA-Tech M4 was prohib before the ban came into effect
And marui pistols were prohib to import before the ban since they shoot below 366fps and are therefore replicas for the purposes of importation.

Stop fearmongering with false and misleading information. Gubermint isn't coming fer yer toys

Ban is imposed on airguns which have a muzzle velocity of more than 500 ft/s or 150 m/s and muzzle energy greater than 4.2 ft-lb or 5.7 J.

Bit of a necro post, but i have a question, AR15 parts are now prohib. I guess it was always a gamble but have people been able to import GBBR receivers post OIC? wanting to get a new receiver from my MWS...

Use this site to see if you?re good to go:

https://www.armalytics.ca/?size=n_25_n

That being said, you still run the risk of it getting stopped because of what it appears to be.

Lower receivers were always problematic. Uppers may be a problem now too (I know WE uppers are very close in spec: you can drop in a RS upper with only a few minor mods).

But as an aside, I've been reading people on gun groups having trouble importing accessories, too. So it would seem there's currently heightened vigilance concerning gun parts.

yikes... well thanks for the replies, what a shit show our laws are. I see RAtech receivers are on that armalytics list surprisingly, no mention of MWS guns or parts though - but i guess its subject to the reviewing agent.
