i been hearing all over that the stark arms/vfc g17/18c can be 100% tm compatible, yet i been hearing that they are not... can anyone on ASC here permanently prove the fact that if the vfc is fully tm compatible or not?

fuck no....

The internal front rail system is different. It actually has a working lock block.
Thus, a third body pin is employed.

Secondly, the internal system is "off". You wont be completely working with a Marui spec system.

Thirdly, the one that I owned had a universal BBU. That means that the Stark Arms G17 AND G18c can use it. Unfortunately, this BBU is not the Tokyo Marui Glock 17 BBU. It's actually mimicing the Tokyo Marui Glock 18c's BBU. That said, if you swap the Stark Arms one into a Marui system, it still doesn't function properly as the measurements are not the same.

Fourthly, because of the lock block, the Stark Arms system uses a different outerbarrel. If you want to put the system into Marui and expect it to work with a Marui Outerbarrel, it wont. It will jam the slide open.

Then there's the whole sight system and back cover plate issue to deal with. THey'll be loose.

Then there's all the pins that are different on the Stark Arms one.

Then there's a different magazine catch.

Then there's the different magazines that are NOT 100% compatible because of the magazine catch....

I can go on...

But in my honest experience, NO they are not....

What's the difference in mags/mag catch? Do you have to add/remove material from the mag or mag catch? Are the release valves and gas ports in the same positions?

I thought about running one, but the lack of mags, and my abundance of TM/WE mags I already own is a deterrent at this point.
