Skydex pads

I'm wondering where you CF members (and others) source your after-market helmet pads?

I've heard that Skydex pads word well with the CF helmet. Team Wendy pads also work.

Are there any good canadian retailers?

I've used google, but I can only find american sites...

Ebay... I got 2 sets off of ebay and for less than 1/2 the retail price.
They're great in the CF helmets... just make sure you get the right size.

Banned by the CF? My father used them and no issues arose.

It is a chargeable offense to use helmet pads inside a CF Helmet as it compromises the safety of the helmet.

The Helmet is designed to absorb the impact of shrapnel thus deforming the shape of the helmet so that it gets dented inside the helmet. The suspension system allows for a space between the head and the helmet so that the energy is not directly transferred to the skull and head. Helmet pads don't allow for that.

I do hear they are working on a more comfortable helmet suspension system.

You want the size 6 Skydex kit.

I have a very large head (7 7/8" and I wore that size in a medium CG634.

Kokanee,
thanks for a quick response!

I see there are 2 kits in sale - Skydex PASGT Retrofit Kit and ACH/LWH Upgrade Kit - what is better to use in CG634?
