First buying guns in the states is more expensive due to customs and taxes, also customs can still decide to confiscate if they want to as technically its a replica firearm not withstanding what people say about the 366FPS limit. So decent chance of it getting seized.
What exactly are you looking for? CQB? Field? third if this would be your first Airsoft gun get an AEG as its a lot easier to maintain as a first gun as GBBR can cause headaches for first time owners. |

Personally I would say the Elite Force/VFC, but you should really remove the links to gun sales as this is outside of the AV section.
Also the price tag on a US site is far from what it will cost you to get into Canada, expect to pay $100-$200 more than the listed price by the time it gets to you. |

For GBBR WE (AR platform) is probably the better one because of the aftermarket support for that platform. But like Chilly says go AEG. BTW He's wrong about seizure, it's up to you to read up on the laws and whatnot but just be wary about it because CBSA could decide to seize if it doesn't meet requirements for import (just like with cars, Transport Canada/RIV can *force* you to permanently export a car if it doesn't meet certain requirements (ie. Why I can't get a newer model Hilux in Canada)). Also +1 about the import costs and taxes, they *can* be higher than what you can get it in Canada for but it's up to you to calculate for taxes and duties and whatnot. For example a laptop might cost more to import form the US than buying a similar model domestically but on the other hand you can import a Tacoma SR5 for way less than what the stealerships sell them for in Canada.
PS: Chilly, shouldn't you be doing calc Problemsets, or Matlab stuff, or making some elaborate machine in whatever CAD program you guys use?

The great thing about the CBSA, is that they can seize even if it is legal to own. Unless your documentation is in order, and as mentioned you are completely up to date on all logistics and laws involved with importing, they may hold your purchase for months and/or even destroy it. If that does happen, there is no compensation from the retailer, or the CBSA.

Wow, for some of those choices it's like asking "what's the best sexually transmitted disease".

As a veteran player. I can say that i've probably had all of those since i've started. While each of them has it's ups and downs,
I can say the one that will give you the least amount of trouble is mono.
