EDC Shoulder Bag/Versipack
Hey guys, as title says, I'm looking to change my current messenger bag (Oakley laptop bag, not used for laptop carry anymore).
I was wondering if anyone would have suggestion about a nice looking, "tactical" bag that doesn't scream gun nuts either, if you see what I mean :P I was browsing Airsoftpeak as I'm about to order a small trinket from them, and saw their Phantom Colossus Versipack (a repro of the Maxpedition's one I reckon) for about 80$ (130-140$ for the maxpedition's). Anyone have experience with these? Long story short I'm in need of recommendations/advice/suggestions. I'm mainly looking for something relatively low profile. I don't have tons of stuff to carry: some small electronics/chargers, too much keys on my keychain, wallet, sunglass case, etc. |

I think any tactical bag in black or tan is good enough not to scream military/gun nut.. most people don't know what molle is, but they know what camo is. That bag looks rather large, but I don't know what you're carrying.
5.11 just came out with a messenger bag: http://www.511tactical.com/All-Produ...very-LIMA.html it's not too tactical looking but has loooped velcro strapping that doubles as molle. comes in 3 sizes mike, lima, xray.

I love my Evolution Gear 'Street Fighter' bag for a quick mission when I can't be bothered with a vest... and I use it for day-to day stuff.

Just a quick on the Maxpedition Colossus. Great bag but sized like it's supposed to hold a DSLR with a long lens. Too big/tall for my 131lb 5'5" frame. Ultimately sold it off and now regularly use a Jumbo Versipack instead (the version that allows you to carry a Nalgene/water bottle on one side). Try to find a brick & mortar store to try it out.

I'd throw the Mystery Ranch Outsider in the mix, but it is a fairly large shoulder bag. I like it, but it's a little big for what I use it for.

I am a fan of Hazard 4, sling and messenger bags. Very durably good organization etc. Can be picked up at urbantactical in Brantford or online at Everydaycarry.com
http://www.urbantactical.ca/topbrand...messenger.html YEs a bit pricey, but worth it |

EDC Shoulder Bag/Versipack
Late reply:
After watching a few reviews and what not I ended up getting a Maxpedtion Jumbo Versipac LEO edition Gotta say I love it; great construction, and design is perfect for my needs. Definitely happy with this (My GF is not because it looks a bit too military-ish but that's another story ) Thanks for all your advices |
