Clear Reciever's?

May sound like a really stupid question but a friend of mine mentioned to me once that airsoft guns were required to a have a clear reciever? was just wanting to check if this was true?

its an old policy, but some does have semi transparent receiver for the purpose of importing into canada but now, now it have to shoot 366fps to get here, but never try to import one for you will get it confiscated and you will get black listed by the CBSA

i would never try to import one to begin with i'd rather order from a canadian retailer, i was just asking cause i was going to paint a few airsoft pistols i have that have a clear receiver on them

Ive imported a few guns myself and never once had an issue. They do get to you with a bunch of tape covering your boxes after a few days at customs, but ive not had a problem. As long as the retailer you bought from provides CLEAR DOCUMENTATION that shows your item shoots over 366 fps they have no reason to seize it.

NEVER try to import a gun under that limit, or try to import a pistol or silencer. Those WILL be seized.

And yes clear receivers are an old law, you can paint them. Just like the orange tips on guns is an American law, not one of ours.
