Mine is dummy corded with about 5' of shock cord. Fed through the grommet in the bottom of the pouch.

16 gage wire eh? I'm gonna take a look at this. Thanks guys. I hope this works. But is it secure because the original pin has the safety catch that holds the pin in the grenade. Making your own pin won't have that so would it hinder safety or whatever? Any one can give me some pics of how they made their own pin?

To be honest, I never used the safety feature of the original pin as I didn't know it was there (duh me) but I have had no issues with the home made ones. 16g wire is a little over 0.050" while the original pin is right around 0.0625" (why I use 1/16" filler wire)
