inaccurate gbbp

I was wondering what could cause a wide random spread on a gbbp?

Could be anything. Did it just suddenly start happening? What gun?

define "wide random spread". 2' group at 5' or 1' at 20'?

Could be as simple as you holding it incorrectly.

Using a cotton swab pull down the spring and feeder in you're magazine spray silicone lubricant onto the swab and swipe liberally where the bbs are stacked. Then you will want to take a dry cotton swab and keep whipping until the black residue is gone.

And wash the hop rubber in soapy water and dry it and reinstall it. Itll tend to get oily and loose its ability to apply hop evenly.
Use beter bbs use heavy bbs.
Learn to shoot..
Not sure what else to tells ya

Try 28's or 30's
And try bbbastards or madbull ipsc grade bbs and adjut the hop up someplace with some range and no wind.
Use a proper two hand grip to hold the gun no sideways gansta shit

What groupings are you getting? Maybe your expectations are not realistic for low power smoothbore muskets.
