Interesting updates for the star m249. I wonder how well that mechbox will last being all one piece encasing the piston and cylinder head. The box mag can supposedly hold a large battery as well, so this will solve the issue of battery storage in the paratrooper model. http://www.starairsoft.jp/top_new_in...mk2_index.html |

Top mags already held batteries. So not really anything different as far as battery storage.
But yeah the gearbox is interesting. I maybe interested in just a gearbox for certain projects given its very low profile. |

Hmmm, do the TOP's hold large batteries Blasty? I never got to confirm this myself. I had only confirmed that they held aug type's, but never large sub-c celled batteries. Well it's just another LMG to look forward to I guess.

Those mechboxes are the same as the ones inthe new Ca 249. Just made out of plastic
. can't comment on the star ones, but the one in the Ca is almost bullit proof. |

-_-
The STAR/Guarder 14 SOPMOD is already out. It's in store in Taiwan. Cost around 18000 NT$, so you take that, and devide it by 25 or 26, then it's in Canadian dollars.
I had it in my hands, but couldn't operate it, because I didnt buy the gun haha. It's very sturdy, and has all the nice details. You could fit a large type battery in the handguard. I wouldn't doubt STAR's products. They're great. Besides those oversized G36k handguards. |
