Looking for marpat combat suit

I need help finding a good quality but comfortable marpat (digital woodland) combat suit. Im talking about the stuff with integrated knee and elbow pads.

Theres so many different brands out there, and not being the type to typically buy clothes online, it's hard to choose.

I do have some very specific specifications, however. (1) If it's a turtle neck type combat shirt, it should have a zipper. (2) I don't want some super stiff, rigid material. In my experience Propper is bad, but they might make something that has a higher cotton content? (3) It better fit! And if not, the retailer better take returns. A lot of places advertise Asian sizes. I don't know how much smaller those are, so I'm kinda shying away from that. (4) Canadian retailers prefered...
I'm an averaged sized guy. When I buy jeans its usually 32/32's that I get, so I think most American sized mediums would do the trick.

If theres anyone that can recommend some good tried and true marpat bdu's I'm also interested.

Hey Bud,

Try Airsoft Depot, I have a pair of these AOR2 which is very similar to the MARPAT that you are describing, the sizing is American/Canadian and the price is also not bad.

The best part he is a Canadian retailer.

Thanks! Are they comfortable? I seem to end up playing in a lot of hot weather.

You can also get some from ur-tactical.com

They don't have much stock usually but I always liked their gear.

USMC issue stuff is very soft and comfortable, and easily found on eBay. I have a woodland MARPAT FROG shirt and it's fantastic. Neither accommodate Crye-style hard shell knee or elbow pads, but they can take soft inserts.

The only catch is that neither are made in the old nyco ripstop material that is ideal for summer months. That said, US issue gear is made from fabric treated with insect repellant, which is a big plus for me in the summer. It's also tough as nails, sized normally, and is non infra red reflective if you happen to be playing against people with night vision.

That ripstop stuff is the best! Light and tough! Can you get pants in that too? Any links to what you have?

The Marines actually don't make their cammies in ripstop. When they transitioned from the old BDUs to the MCCU (ie MARPAT), they decided that it would only be produced in one medium weight fabric, as opposed to the summer ripstop and winter twill of the old BDU. I think Tru-Spec makes digital woodland riptop, but IMHO the colours aren't as effective as genuine MARPAT.

Here's a link to some FROG shirts on eBay. Your best bet is to simply search "woodland MARPAT" or "woodland MARPAT FROG" and see what comes up.

Hero has a ton of marpat camo. But check around online first as their price is a bit higher then others I have seen.

Ok I'm confused about sizing here. Typically when I buy clothes or camo its size medium or maybe large. Pants usually 32\32, thereabouts. According to the sizing charts for this camo, however, I'd need an extra small. Really????? For starters, they don't even have xs as a purchasing option, and secondly, I emailled them but he still hasn't replied in like 4 days. (Maybe cause they're store is moving) any light on the subject here?

That's CM, not Inches. You're 32/32 inches, which is 82cm, on second look, you're right, they have a fucked sizing, just buy larger than you think, asian fit is small. On third look, it states American Sizing, just buy your size or one up, so large.

Iv tried on similar shirts (different brand) before, and a large was to big, med was almost to tight. Damn you, online clothes ordering!!!!! Anyway, perhaps I'll just order med and lrg and just return the one that doesn't fit......

Do what I did and go with one size larger than what you normally wear since this BDU is more on the fitted side and the front of these pants also does have Velcro which will help with the waist adjustment. By the sounds of it go with a large since it will fit people that are around the 32 to 36 pants range.

As for not getting a response it can very much be based on the fact that they are still in the middle of their move so they may not have time to respond, worst case scenario give them a call they are usually good at responding that way.
