I looked up Detonics and it is definitely RIGHT ON THE MONEY! But all I can see as far as retailers go is japanese or chinese retailers. Sigh. Can't wait for my AV to go through :/

Okay, so you're looking at sub-compacts.

Like I mentioned, check out the Detonics, if you want a 1911 style.

A bit shorter than the Baby Hi-Capa (3.45" outer barrel vs 3.8), same grip length, in a more compact package.

There are a few Detonics in the classifieds. Once your AV goes through, you'll see them.

TM is the only manufacturer of Detonics, correct?

Some China brand called "Army" clones the TM model. It's lower grade and doesn't exactly work right out of the box... they might not even be durable enough to last that long, but at least it's mostly compatible with TM, and any parts that break can be replaced with TM parts. It's super cheap - that's what it has going for it. I believe they can be found for less than $200 brand new.

And what about the TM version? Like I said I can only find retailers from over seas right now until my AV goes in and I can actually ask/people can tell me the retailers. At least if I know what kind of price range I'm looking at I can make sure I can buy it with a few mags

There are currently 1 or 2 TM Detonics in the classifieds right now. Some even come pre-upgraded for a great price. I have plenty of stainless TM mags in stock. Full sized 1911 mags will also fit, although, it looks a bit awkward.

You know what assuming gets you.

From the body of post a Sig 226 is only going to seem compact if you compare it to a MK23.

And as always when the hunt for the pistol threads start make sure that you can also find a good holster to secure the pistol and not have it ejecting it's magazines in game (and that you can actually buy spare magazines).

I've seen too many skirmishes turn into an Easter egg hunt when someone notices 3hours into the day their pistol has vanished. A lanyard helps with that but not all popular pistols take one from the word go.
